Wing Joining Wing Ribs Graphics Thrust Angles Manifolds Exploding the Myth

Here's a simple idea for generating your own graphics or masks for decorating your models.

Once again, this is an application for a 2D CAD package that works really well and quickly.

Draw out the text or graphic that you want full size.

Also draw a box round the whole design.

Print the design out on appropriately sized paper.

Cut round the design box and use self adhesive tape to fix it to self adhesive model file. (We used Solartrim).

Carefully cut round the design. If you're making a mask for painting, discard the lettering on the self adhesive film. If you're wanting the design for fixing directly to the model, retain the design.

We leave the rest to your imagination!

This Curare, powered by a Super Tigre 90, and is controlled using the normal four functions as well as having mechanically operated retracting undercarriage. Combined flaps and airbrakes operate normally but can be electronically mixed with throttle to retard diving, high AOA and landing speeds. The model, originally designed for the 1977 World Championships by Hanno Prettner, and was built from scratch.
