The Future?

I'm very conscious that the whole process has been one of Teacher and others at the club 'giving' and me, as the rank beginner, 'taking'. "Just make sure you continue to improve", says Teacher, " … and one day, if you live that long and can eventually learn to land anywhere near the correct runway, you can teach someone else to fly. That'll be fine for me."

Some time later, yes, it still feels good - and yes I'm still trying to improve the basic flying having had a run-in with a nice little low winger which I wasn't ready for. The present model is a second level trainer made by World Models. There are two wing servos in this one, no dihedral on the wings themselves and I've got a fan-dabby-dozy OS 46 FX powering it. It's responsive and just sheer heaven to fly - until the basics improve and I get bored with it, as I'm told everyone does. (It's got tricycle undercarriage - but not in the photograph below - Ooops!)

Sometimes, things still go wrong...

The future?

Well there's a nice looking Flair Harvard kit that appeals, and JB models do a fantastic looking DH71, and TopFlite makes a grand P47 warbird kit and what about that nice little racer that was a free plan in RCM&E recently and … What do you mean do I have enough time - of course, yes, honestly, I really do …

Plan B I will fly this instead.
It can still go wrong nose leg broken on the trainer after a "Hard Landing" Time for Plan B.
